Education & Training for Horse and Rider TW EQUESTRIAN
Education & Training for Horse and Rider TW EQUESTRIAN

So spring seems to have finally arrived and positive thoughts are still in full swing, I have not been able to get out competing for many different reasons but thats not to say I have not been hard at work planning everything from teaching ideas, riding club activities and ordering in new products for my little business horseyhoodies.com.

I have spoken to the kind event organiser at mattingley and she has granted me permission to run a course walk around the Be90 course for my pupils and riding club members, I also have my very first cross country clinic booked in on easter monday, unfortunately due to injury we lost a few of the riders for this but should still be a great sessio and fingers crossed we can organise many more.

As for my own plans, after attending a sports psychology talk i organised for our riding club I have realised that plans and small steps are a good idea, I plan to make some bookings to hire different schools and try to get alex's tension under control, I am also keen to get him and myself a bit fitter and hire the local gallops a few times a month as well as taking him out hacking/xc schooling (baby jumos of course)

My vet has advised me that with careful maintenance and fitness plans there is no reason why alex could not return to low level jumping and competition, I am thrilled to hear this as it enables him to continue a variety in his work. As part of this maintenance i am looking at have his legs thermo scanned to keep an eye on everything.... Mum and I are off to William fox-pitts yard on monday for a yard tour and talk so expecting to postitive thoughts to continue..... maybe 2014 wont be so bad after all!!!
